"The natural healing force in each one of us is the greatest force in getting well."

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST)
What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?
The human body has an innate healing potential, but this potential can be compromised or depleted by injury, dis-ease, trauma and stress. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a very gentle, yet powerful non-invasive hands-on therapy that works with the intelligent, self-correcting, inherent forces that organise how the body functions. The emphasis in BCST is to help release the trapped forces that underlie and govern patterns of dis-ease in both body and mind. It engages with these forces in order to restore health and bring balance.
Stillness is a treasured resource that can offer healing for the mind, body and spirit. Finding stillness however can be elusive in these fast and chaotic times we are living. BCST provides a bridge into stillness for the purpose of restoration, relaxation and release.
BCST works with the whole person and the totality of their story through the deep listening of the practitioner to the tissues, fluids and pulsations of the craniosacral system (skull, cerebrospinal fluid, membranes of the brain and vertebrae, spinal cord and sacrum). There is a saying: "our issues are in our tissues"; BCST can help to resolve some of these patterns that have become "stuck" in the tissues and fascia of the body. It can be thought of as "meditation in relationship" whereby the client and practitioner enter into sympathetic resonance through stillness and the compassionate listening of therapeutic touch. We are able to then tap into the wisdom of the body and affect changes to its subtle rhythms, returning coherence and homeostasis throughout the autonomic nervous system and energy field.

My Training & Accreditation
I am a registered Craniosacral Therapy practitioner accredited by the International Cranial Association (ICrA). After a 2-year rigorous training programme, I received my Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (B.C.S.T.) diploma from the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust (CTET) in the U.K. which is recognised by the International Affiliation of Biodynamic Trainings (IABT). I adhere to the highest standards of ethics, safety, and professional development, ensuring that my work is held to a standard of integrity and care.
What happens in a session?
Performed on a massage table, the client is fully clothed and the practitioner's touch is light, compassionate and gentle. The practitioner creates a field of resonance and safety with the client so that the innate wisdom of their body/mind can guide the session and reveal what is ready to be addressed whether physical tensions, energy blockages, emotional releases, or deeply held traumas.

Origins of Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy has its roots in osteopathy and the work of Dr William Sutherland in the early 1900s. Sutherland discovered subtle movements in the bones, fluids and tissues of the body that are direct expressions of health. When these movements become compromised or restricted, ill-health may occur. Craniosacral Therapy facilitates the body’s natural ability to restore itself back to proper fluidity and good health.
